    Responsibilities
    - Conduct research in Life Sciences (LS) with a focus on either clinical-based or laboratory-based research, typically gained through a postdoctoral program.
    - Participate in a Mayo Clinic principal investigator's research program to receive training and education.
    - Show potential for research through training, peer-reviewed publications, and eligibility for national research grants.
    - Following approval, may engage in direct contact with patients/research subjects related to the original research.
    - Proficiency in English is mandatory for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.

    Qualifications
    Applicants must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field, with no more than one previous postdoctoral fellowship.

    Consideration is given to education, experience, and tenure for job offers, alongside internal equity.
