- Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs.
- Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods.
- Provides manufacturing decisionmaking information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
- Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
- Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.
- Maintains product and process database by writing computer programs and entering data.
- Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
- A degree or experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required.
- A background in aerospace or structural steel manufacturing.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience required.
- ASME certification is preferred.
- Must have proven experience (8 to 10 years preferred), in an Engineering role in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced knowledge of the engineering discipline.
- Must be proficient in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Must be able to effectively communicate, orally and in writing with employees, vendors, and leadership.
- Must have excellent problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- Must have knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
- Engineering experience in fastpaced manufacturing environment required.
- CAD experience, SolidWorks strongly preferred.
- Limited travel may be required.
