Purpose and Objective:
Expectations and Tasks:
Execute tests, detect vulnerabilities, research potential impacts to the organization, and document findings. Perform scans to identify vulnerabilities and confirm compliance to security standards. Collaborate with information technology (IT) to remediate vulnerabilities. Support implementation of vulnerability and network scanning tools. Implement and utilize a combination of automated tools and manual checks to identify and validate vulnerabilities. Maintain patch and vulnerability management practices to protect against the exploitation of critical vulnerabilities. Recognize and safely utilize attacker tools, tactics, and procedures. Assist in assessing and managing EVM risks. Document and report findings to senior staff.
Assist management in developing reports for executive and key stakeholder briefings, and in replying to ad-hoc requests for information or action items.
Assist leadership in enhancing program by developing advanced/automated test cases and implementing new tools and techniques.Leverage cyber threat intelligence (CTI) to maintain awareness of vulnerabilities exploited by threat actors and how that translates into proactive action for SAP's EVM team.
Analyze the security practices and create risk assessments of perspective third party vendors. Conduct research on current vulnerabilities and exploits using publicly available, trusted resources, and other finished vulnerability products.Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Networking, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
The Company will also accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Networking, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Work Experience:
Experience must involve two (2) years in the following:
- Incident Response;
- Vulnerability Management;
- Security Standards;
- Data Protection;
- Investigation and Analytics;
- Security Event Handling;
- Vulnerability Analysis; and
- Vulnerability Discovery Scanner.

Compensation Range Transparency:
