Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dispatcher. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the transportation of goods and ensuring timely delivery. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Duties:

• Dispatch drivers and coordinate their routes for efficient delivery
• Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and monitor driver progress
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates on delivery status
• Enter data accurately into the system to maintain accurate records of shipments
• Monitor freight movement and address any issues or delays that may arise
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving problems promptly
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and phone etiquette when interacting with customers

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in dispatching preferred
• Familiarity with construction and readymix operations is a plus
• Proficient in using Command Alkon or similar dispatching software is a plus
• Strong typing skills for accurate data entry
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fastpaced environment
