Financial Analyst
Job Summary:

Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting general bookkeeping
- Preparing and submitting monthly invoices (T&M, FFP, CPFF) in compliance with contract requirements using Deltek Costpoint
- Establishing and maintaining projects in accounting system according to contract award and modification documents
- Assisting with A/R, billing/invoicing to customers, including processing of cash receipts and recording of revenue and receivables
- Supporting the monthly close process by preparing month end journals and reviewing balance sheet control accounts
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals
- Processing and recording accounts payable transactions and ensuring that all invoices are paid accurately and in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Reviewing expense report to ensure compliance with Joint Travel Regulations
- Providing DCAA financial and compliance audit readiness support
- Reporting on periodic variances of expense and revenue and their causes
- Preparing payroll and timesheet processing and total time accounting compliance
- Keeping abreast of payroll related federal and state regulations
- Preparing and processing annual 1099 forms
- Obtaining and maintaining vendor W9 forms
- Administering timekeeping system and user logins
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Ability to read, manipulate, and analyze data in an Excel spreadsheet
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a fastpaced, dynamic work environment
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management
- Must be able to analyze and troubleshoot accounting issues
- Demonstrated experience with automated payroll systems such as iSolved, Insperity, CostPoint
- Familiarity with GAAP, FAR regulations, and DCAA regulations
Desired:
- Knowledge of Project Accounting, Cost Reporting, and Revenue Recognition
- At least two years of experience in federal contracting performing invoicing, general accounting, finance, account reconciliations, and analysis
- Costpoint or similar system experience
Work Setting and Environment:
- Monday
- Friday, normal business hours
- Work is to be performed remotely
