Poke Fin is the shared vision of two experienced restaurateurs. Through a whole lot of blood, sweat, and tears Poke Fin became a reality in March of 2020. It has been a wonderful two years with the company, with a second location underway.

Poke Fin is home to many different experience backgrounds, and people from all different walks of life. We take pride in our ability to turn any Team Member into a Poke Professional.

With that being said, here is a synopsis of the position requirements & responsibilities of the
Morning Prep role.***
Requirements:
  • Customer Facing Experience (6 Months
  • 1 Year).
  • Food Preparation Experience (6 Months
  • 1 Year).
  • Food Service Experience (6 Months
  • 1 Year).
  • Food Handlers Card (Can be given to you through Poke Fin free of charge, if you don't already have it).
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Available to work a variety of hours, weekends and nights included.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities:


  • Interact and educate guests about Poke Fin products.
  • Communicate proficiently with Poke Fin staff.
  • Maintain organizational standards. (Cleanliness, Organizational, Service)
  • Process cash and card transactions on a POS terminal.
  • Adhere to the Poke Fin handbook and safety guidelines.
  • Preserving the good image of Poke Fin.
  • Complete the established par amounts of food preparation.
  • Continuously observe the quality of ingredients being served.
  • Routinely record inventory amounts to assist in ordering.
  • Routinely record temperatures of equipment and ingredients.

This job, Morning Prep, is a middle-level position at Poke Fin.

In this role, you can expect to process anywhere from 20-50 pounds of ingredients for our bowls on any given day.

In addition to preparing these ingredients, you will also be tasked with making poke bowls.


Poke Fin's operating system consists of various checklists and production sheets that outline what is expected of you every day.

We have found great success through this mutual understanding of what needs to be completed on a daily basis.


All you need to succeed in this role is a good attitude, a bit of charisma, and the bravery to make mistakes and try again.

And most importantly, the pay.

Poke Fin evaluates all members of the team on a routine basis. This is to track progress and improvement over time.

This creates an opportunity for you to quickly climb the ladder of Poke Fin as your hard work will be recognized immediately.

The base rate for this position is $13/hour, based on experience and technical ability this rate is negotiable. In addition to the base rate, all Poke Fin team members receive cash tips on a daily basis. These cash tips can range from an extra $4/hour to $15/hour.

On average a Poke Fin team member will have an adjusted rate of $19/hour after the cash tips have been accounted for.
