The opportunity


The Project Setup Associate is responsible for the set up and maintenance of projects in Deltek Costpoint, ensuring project hierarchies are established in accordance with contract awards and modifications as well as ensuring that contract / project data is current, accurate and complete.


Skills and attributes for success

  • Completes the setup of simple contracts in Deltek Costpoint to include:
  • Company standard project structure (WBS)
  • Proper revenue recognition method
  • CLIN and charge code schema
  • Accurate value and funding per CLIN
  • Project labor categories and rate setups
  • Workforce setup for employees and vendors
  • Setup of fee ceilings or rate overrides
  • Billing Information Setup
  • Completes input of contract modifications in Deltek Costpoint
  • Value and funding changes
  • Period of performance changes
  • Setup of newly exercised option years
  • Provide support to various data call requests from Contracts, Finance and Program Management teams

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in contract or project accounting using Deltek Costpoint
  • Experience with Cognos reporting or other similar querying tools
  • Experience working in a high volume, quick turn service center
  • Prior experience working with Deltek Costpoint contract setup modules and fields
  • Working knowledge of government contract types, to include FFP, T&M, CP types
  • Working knowledge of various contract fee structures, to include fixed, variable, and award fees
  • Working knowledge of revenue recognition methods
  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFARs, CAS & ASC 60
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to adjust quickly and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Current security clearance or the ability to obtain one

Ideally, you'll have

  • Experience in Deltek Costpoint
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field

What we offer


We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.

The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $50,000 to $88,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $60,000 to $100,000.

Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.

In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
