Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department - Clinical ManagerPosition Summary:

Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
Determinesand justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments; mayprovidepatient care when necessary.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge,referraland spiritual/psychosocial support needs.Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.

Minimum Qualifications:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or compact staterequiredBachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year of RN clinical experience in an emergency departmentrequired.
Minimum two (2) years supervisory/management or Charge Nurse experience, preferably in a patient care settingrequired.
Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA)requiredAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association (AHA)requiredPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association OR Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification(ENPC) Emergency Nurse Associationrequiredor within six (6) months of hireTrauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC) Emergency Nurse Association PreferredRequires critical thinking skills, decisivejudgmentand the ability to work with minimal supervision.
