SALARY RANGE:
$90, $145,365.00 Annually


EDUCATION ACCREDITATION:

PROBATION:
All persons, including current City employees, selected from this position will be on probation for 6 months.


CLASS DEFINITION

  • A Social Program Administrator III plans and coordinates the activities of several social programs. Work of this class involves directing the activities of social program work units.
  • Incumbents receive general supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class work a conventional work week. Work is performed in an office where working conditions are normal. Work requires mínimal physical exertion.
  • SELECTION PROCESS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:
Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • AND

EXPERIENCE:

Have five (5) years of experience in social planning, social work, social program supervision or coordination or a related field.

OR


EQUIVALENCIES:
Have an equivalent combination of education and experience.


LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATES:
Not Applicable.

  • REQUIRED KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of the techniques of social program administration.
  • Knowledge of community social problems.
  • Knowledge of counseling techniques.
  • Knowledge of Federal grant procedures.
  • Ability to plan, organize, implement and direct several social programs.
  • Ability to make budget recommendations and control expenditures.
  • Ability to develop and implement program policies and procedures.
  • Ability to speak and write effectively.
  • Ability to deal with program recipients, community groups and representatives of public and private agencies.
  • Administrative ability.
