    Futures Without Violence

("FUTURES") is a dynamic national non-profit social change organization that works to end gender-based violence against children, youth, and adults around the world. We're a team of educators, strategists, fundraisers, trainers and grassroots organizers who develop programs that can change social norms, advance policy, and mobilize people to prevent violence.

    DEPARTMENT:

The National Health Initiative on Violence and Abuse provides training, technical assistance, leadership development and policy advocacy to address intimate partner violence in health systems, as well as build the capacity of domestic violence programs to address the health needs of survivors.

    OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Program Director, the Program Manager would support the work of the National Health Initiative specifically working on two lead initiatives:1)

Health Partners on IPV + Exploitation:

which is led by FUTURES to work with community health centers (also known as federally qualified health centers) to support those at risk of or surviving intimate partner violence (IPV), human trafficking (HT), and exploitation and to bolster prevention efforts.

Health centers are community-based and patient-directed organizations that provide affordable, accessible, high-quality primary health care services to individuals and families, including people experiencing homelessness, agricultural workers, residents of public housing, and veterans.

They're located in every U.S. state, territory, and the District of Columbia and provide care to all patients, regardless of ability to pay. We work collaboratively with twenty-one U.S.

DHHS funded National Training and Technical Assistance Partners (NTTAPs) and develop health education virtual programs, policy briefs, and electronic health tools to assist the Nation's network of 250,000 health center staff and their community partners respond to IPV/HT/E.

    2)

    UCAAN ACEs Aware Initiative:

Working on a California-specific initiative to advance health equity & improve the health of children, youth and their caregivers by linking adverse childhood experience (ACEs) education, screening and response to increase access to enhanced care management and community health worker services.

The Program Manager will work with the Director to support the operations of Health Partners on IPV + Exploitation.

This includes informing health center practice and policy that promotes adult and child health, wellbeing, equity and violence prevention, as well as promoting partnerships with community-based domestic violence/sexual assault/human trafficking (DV/SA/HT) programs and coordinating with other NTTAPs and U.S.

Partner with an evaluation team (University-led) including: to inform outcome measures for workplans, ensure ongoing data analysis and evaluation for educational programs; to summarize findings in reports and proposals; and utilize data visualization skills.

Support website strategy development; support communications across FUTURES and with our other NTTAP partners and federal partners, including coordinating outreach efforts, developing ads/marketing, and increasing visibility and engagement for our programs.
