Midnight Oil a division of Imagine, strategically located in "the heart of Hollywood" in Burbank, CA, is an extraordinary creative, and specialty print production partner to the majority of theatrical and streaming studios, with relationships often measured in terms of decades, not years. Position Summary:

As the Physical Security Specialist, the individual will act as a visible deterrent to crime and security rule infractions.

This position will be responsible to detect, report, and act upon suspicious, or criminal acts, which may be a threat to employees/guests, company property, or product.

This position will report security concerns, breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing, maintain compliance with all facility and governmental security regulations, and will build and maintain effective relationships with management, employees and guests.

Onsite out of our Burbank, CA office.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


  • Primary responsibility as site Physical Security Specialist who manages all physical security incidents, investigations, and other related security matters
  • Support the Security Policies, ensuring all employees, contractors and visitors are fully compliant with all rules and regulations
  • Completes all required compliance regulations
  • Walks the facility regularly to ensure compliance with security regulations; escalates issues as needed
  • Supports the Human Resources department by creating access credentials for newly hired personnel and for current personnel as the situation dictates
  • Ensure physical aspects of the security policies are followed by all personnel; this includes physical inspections and completion of logs to ensure compliance with local, state and federal law
  • Monitor CCTV systems for access violations and procedural errors; correct as needed. Recommend system enhancements.
  • Lead security administration (checkins / checkouts) of physical assets, such as physical harddrives, cameras
  • Direct and schedule contracted guard service personnel in daytoday security business and operations
  • Expert handling of all security incident requirements; liaise with all applicable local and federal law enforcement agencies as needed.
  • Function as a team member in all emergency response situations in the building (fire, medical, severe weather, etc.)
  • Available to perform all functions when scheduled to be oncall
  • Keeps staff well informed, both verbally and in writing, of any and all issues within assigned area of responsibility; escalates issues as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Conduct risk and physical security assessments, auditing and gap analysis as required to identify risks and gaps and make recommendations for improvement and sustainability of the safety and security program
  • Maintains a working partnership with Facilities management and teammembers, with Legal / Security & Compliance, and with IT / Security Engineer
  • As the Safety Specialist the individual is responsible for developing, planning, coordinating and directing environmental and health/safety activities to ensure employee engagement, regulatory compliance. Implement an EHS management system to protect human health and the environment.
  • Instill a safety culture that drives awareness and injury prevention at every level
