Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant will support staff in the execution of numerous student events, work directly with student employees, maintain the office space and environment, track necessary website updates and ensures information stays timely and accurate, support small marketing projects and social media updates.
Who We Are
The Roger C. Stewart Leadership & Professional Development Department (LEAD) focuses on the development of students' leadership knowledge and abilities, civic identities, and professional skills. This is done through direct student engagement and support, providing transformative on-campus and community-based experiences, and the promotion of research-based leadership competencies and curriculums. We teach students to connect their classroom and out-of-class experiences to build greater meaning out of their Purdue education in order to prepare them to facilitate positive change in local, national, and global communities.
What We Are Looking For
Education and Experience:
- Required:_
- High School Diploma / GED
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a clerical or administrative support role
Skills:
- Required:_
- Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions, balance multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational and time management skills and attention to detail
- Computer and related software skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.
- Typing, drafting, filing, data entry, proofreading and editing skills
- Ability to identify routine problems and implement or recommend solutions
