Duties:


  • Preform studies/analyses to identify and explore trends, patterns, problem areas and causal relationships with regard to the current and future care environment and its impact on the operating functions of the organization.
  • Conducts analyses of all aspects of care initiatives such as those involving innovations in health care delivery systems.
  • Analyzes and explores trends in health care using a variety of economic indicators.
  • Conducts meetings and briefs at all levels on projects and issues relating to branch and department activities

  • Travel Required: Up to 25% Business Travel is required.

Specialized Experience:One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing various databases and healthcare systems to monitor the healthcare delivery processes within a medical treatment facility (MTF); running recurring reports and interpreting data; implementing solutions/recommendations to the identified problems with healthcare processes and systems; and monitors and coordinates personnel matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.

D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as:
Hospital Administration, Public Health Administration, Business or Public Administration with course work in Health Care Administration

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages
