Arbor Hills Nursing and Rehab is looking for a bookkeeper to join their team.

The primary purpose of the Bookkeeper position is to assist the Business Office Manager in the day-to-day accounting functions of the facility in accordance with current acceptable accounting and cost reimbursement principles relating to the long-term care operation.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the implementation of daytoday functions of the accounting department.
Balance daily census to Nurses' census.
Assist in the completion of initial and reauthorization Treatment Authorization Requests as needed, including all pertinent documentation necessary for approval.
Assist in the completion of documentation for Medi-Cal benefits for beneficiaries as necessary.
Enter and maintain account data on the accounting computer system.
Research and perform collection activity on accounts, i.e. claims submission, followup and correspondence.
Disburse, receipt and maintain records of resident trust accounts.
Perform Bookkeeper Assistant functions as necessary or directed, i.e. letters, phone calls, photocopying, etc.
Assist Admissions Coordinator in completion of admission paperwork as necessary or directed.

Qualifications:

Proof of COVID19 Vaccination will be required for all facility employees as of September 30, 2021 (requests for accommodation due to disability or religious belief will be reviewed).
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Speak, read, write and understand the English language
