The iba | International Vocational Academy of the F+U Group gGmbH is Germany's largest state-recognized vocational academy offering dual bachelor's degree programs at twelve locations in Berlin, Bochum, Darmstadt, Erfurt, Hamburg, Heidelberg, Kassel, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich, Münster, and Nuremberg.


For our Heidelberg campus, we are looking for a freelance lecturer/instructor (m/f/d) to join our team for the winter semester of 2023 for the module "Technologies in Gastronomy" (face-to-face teaching) in the 3rd semester of the Business Administration degree program.

The module consists of 24 teaching units (45 minutes each) and covers the following topics from Monday, November 6, 2023 to Friday, November 17, 2023 (time frame 9:00 am - 5:45 pm):

Technology - Technical Equipment


Kitchen technology:

  • Planning and organization of a large kitchen
  • Production processes and corresponding equipment
  • Technical kitchen equipment in individual and system gastronomy
  • Technical equipment in the dishwashing area
  • Legal requirements

Beverage technology:

  • Storage and dispensing systems at beverage buffets and bars
  • Bottle control systems
  • Wine and spirits control systems
  • Dosing systems
  • Multifunctional dispensing systems
  • Beverage dispensing systems in mobile bars
