With an annual program of around 5,000 events, the Stuttgart Adult Education Center is the largest in Baden-Württemberg and one of the largest adult education centers in Germany.

As a publicly funded educational institution by the city of Stuttgart, it offers a wide range of educational opportunities tailored to the city and the educational needs of its citizens, with close connections to culture and social issues.

The courses, seminars, training programs, individual events, and event series in the program areas of general and political education, cultural education, health education, languages (especially German as a foreign language/integration), professional development and continuing education, as well as basic education and school diplomas, are attended by more than people annually.

Participants can choose between in-person and online courses, as well as hybrid formats.

On behalf of the city of Stuttgart, the adult education center coordinates the cultural program in its central event building, TREFFPUNKT Rotebühlplatz, in the heart of Stuttgart.

Additionally, the adult education center is the largest evening high school in Baden-Württemberg with around 200 students annually.

The offerings of the Treffpunkt Kinder and the vhs ökostation, as well as the extensive inclusive program, complete the spectrum.
