SHIFT LEADER POSITION
The shift leader position will be achived after a training period.


COMPENSATION:


  • 38 hours approx. per week
  • Schedule: Tuesday to Friday 5:00 pm 10:00 pm approx.
  • Saturday 10:30 am 3:00 pm / 5:00 pm 10:00 pm approx.
  • Sunday 10:30 am 4:30 pm approx.
- $1,150 / week (salary)

Other than certain benefits prescribed by law, the Employee will not be eligible for paid Vacation Time until after the first year of employment.


VACATION TIME:


After twelve months of employment, the Employee is entitled to 3 days of paid vacation per year, which is required to be mutually beneficial for the Employer and the Employee.

It is required for the Employee to give notice before scheduling their vacation in accordance with Company policy.

In carrying out the duties and responsibilities of their Position, the Employee agrees to adhere to any and all policies, procedures, rules, regulations, as administered by the Employer.

As a Shift Leader, the individual will be responsible for a wide range of tasks which shall involve the daily operations during designated shifts and ensure that our customers receive outstanding service and must possess certain skills and qualities to excel in the role.

Here's a comprehensive list of the responsibilities and qualifications for the position.


Responsibilities:


  • Pre-

Opening Checks:

Arrive before the restaurant opens to inspect and ensure the outdoor dining area is clean, well-maintained, and properly set up with lights and plants.


  • Facility and

Equipment Check:

Inspect all indoor spaces, including refrigerators, kitchen equipment, coffee machine, dishwasher, toilets, basement, and report any issues to the manager promptly.


  • Staff Coordination: Ensure that all employees are present, prepared, and aware of their duties. Setup and cleanliness of both indoor and outdoor dining spaces, making sure tables, floors, and bars are clean and sanitized.
  • Serving and Bartending: be ready to serve tables, run plates and orders and bartending as required.
  • Kitchen Preparedness: Ensure the kitchen staff is fully prepared for service, and all necessary prep work is completed.
  • Beverage and

Stock Management:
Check that all drinks, including wines, are well-stocked and properly refrigerated. Ensure the coffee machine is clean and ready for use.

  • POS and

Guest Service:
Verify that the Point of Sale system is functioning correctly and ready for use.

Be prepared to welcome guests and coordinate the waitstaff, taking orders and serving, including making coffees, drinks, and serving desserts.


  • Menu and

Wine Knowledge:

Possess an extensive knowledge of the restaurant's menu items and wine list to provide recommendations and answer customer inquiries.


  • Branding and Philosophy: Be wellversed in the history and philosophy of the restaurant's brand, ensuring it is reflected in all aspects of service.
  • Policy Enforcement: Enforce restaurant policies with kindness and common sense.
  • Table Reset: Coordinate and contribute to clean and reset tables promptly after customers leave, ensuring they are ready for the next guests.
  • Issue Resolution: Handle customer complaints and disputes among employees in a professional and effective manner.
  • Team Coaching: Provide guidance and coaching to team members and new staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within the restaurant industry.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with guests, staff, and management.
  • Indepth knowledge of Italian cuisine and culture is an advantage.
