    Description

    CMA:

    • Experience in a medical office setting.
    • Must be understanding, courteous, and professional when interacting with patients, visitors, employees, and medical staff.
    • Support the Doctor in taking care of patients.
    • Show expertise in a medical office environment.
    • Anticipate the needs of the Doctor for each patient based on their complaints and treatment plan.
    • Ensure patient results, x-rays, labs, and procedure reports are in the charts before the doctor sees them.
    • Take the patient's vitals and complaints, and record them in the medical records.
    • Accurately chart and include lab results legibly.
    • Help in communication between the physician and patients.
    • Fill out lab requisition forms and send specimens to the correct labs as per patient insurance agreements.
    • Manage and monitor supplies and instruments in exam and procedure rooms.
    • Clean and sterilize instruments following OSHA Regulations and autoclave requirements.
    • Complete clinical aspects of chart preparation.
    • Schedule surgeries, provide patients with necessary instructions beforehand, and refer them for insurance authorization.
    • Offer backup support for surgery scheduling.

    LPN:

    • Perform patient care duties while considering the specific needs of patients of all ages.
    • Conduct thorough assessments on patients under the supervision of an RN, including pediatric, geriatric, and general populations.
    • Assess and manage pain effectively using appropriate techniques.
    • Administer medications correctly based on patient age and condition.
    • Follow medication administration protocols to prevent errors.
    • Adapt care plans based on patient responses and evaluate effectiveness daily.
    • Create teaching plans for patients' learning needs and involve families in the process.
    • Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical tasks under RN supervision.
    • Show respect and dignity to patients and families, considering their psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
    • Engage professionally with patients and families in care planning.

    RN:

    • Represent the department and hospital positively through professional demeanor and community service participation.
    • Resolve patient and family issues positively with problem-solving skills.
    • Communicate effectively with individuals of various ages and cultures.
    • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, staff, and physicians without disruptions.
    • Adhere to the 5 rights of medication administration.
    • Manage time efficiently to enhance productivity.
    • Promote teamwork and collaboration among peers.
    • Seek help and information when needed.

    Requirements

    • Education
    • Required: High School
    • Preferred: Technical/other training, Bachelor of Science, Associate of Science
    • Licenses & Certifications
    • Preferred: L-RN, Multistate L-LPN, Multistate C-BLS, C-Cert Med Asst
