- Must be knowledgeable and capable of operating all equipment and machinery utilized by the turf department including tools and machinery needed to make related repairs or routine maintenance.
• Must be proactive in implementing and logging preventative maintenance programs for all equipment in the turf department.
• Must be capable of diagnosing and making informed repairs and/or maintenance of but not limited to:
o engines (gas & diesel)
o tractors
o hydraulics
o electronics
o tools or small equipment (i.e. blowers, weed eaters, chain saws, reels, bed-knives, etc.)
• Ensures safe work environment to include compliance with State and Local guidelines and proper operating usage of equipment as defined in related owner's manual specifications.
• Assists in the training of team members for proper use of equipment & machinery.
• Implements methods and procedures designed to minimize operational costs and maximize resources to insure the proper working order and longevity of each piece of equipment.
• Timely completion of repairs and preventative maintenance to insure golf course quality standards are achieved. - Daily communication with the golf course superintendent regarding the status and condition of all turf equipment.
• Ability to make fabrications or alterations to new or existing equipment to insure proper working order and efficiency.
• Maintain adequate inventory levels of parts and supplies including fuel and oil levels.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• On course assistance to insure proper working order of all equipment. -
