The Mechanical Assembler will manually assemble packaged equipment. This position has the opportunity to move into a Lead position.


KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Perform manual processes to complete mechanical and subassemblies, using hand tools, and electronic and pneumatic tooling.
  • Reports defective material or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedule with minimum supervision.
  • Following established methods and procedures.
  • Use and be familiar with assembly and measuring tools, interpret visual aids and must be able to perform simple shop math.
  • Opportunity to move into a Lead position.

JOB SKILLS:


  • Three months of related factory experience
  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID, ISO and engineering assembly drawings
  • Ability to read fabrications drawings is a plus
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Word, MS Excel a plus
  • Experience in an ISO certified environment is a plus
  • Ability to communicate issues and solutions with project engineers

EDUCATION & TRAINING:


  • High school diploma or GED

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bilingual (Spanish)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:


  • Work performed in a shop environment
  • Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.
  • May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the assembly process.
  • Physical effort equal to frequent or moving of 50lbs. materials
  • Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach
  • The use of Safety Glasses is required.
  • Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with a lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week.
  • Ability to work in a nonairconditioned environment.
  • Steeltoe boots required in Manufacturing Facility

$ $25.00 per hour
