- Provide day to day employee relations support and act as first point of contact for all HR queries, ensuring closure
- Proactively work in partnership with managers to ensure that the business is professionally resourced with the correct numbers, quality, competencies, and types of workers needed to achieve current and future business objectives - in line with qualifier and local content requirements as defined by Ministry of Petroleum
- Ensure immigration knowledge is current and that controls are met accordingly through partnership with immigration providers.
- Maintain and ensure the qualifier is current, valid, and kept in line with changing legislation
- Own and manage the PDHR annually ensuring current and in line with changing legislation and the SIASP system
- Give accurate and appropriate advice (seeking appropriate specialist advice where necessary), training and support to managers to resolve ER issues such as grievances and disciplines (where appropriate take the lead in investigating and resolving ER issues in accordance with company policy);
- Monitor absenteeism and in conjunction with managers take pro-active action to ensure absence levels remain within company standards. Take required actions to prevent absenteeism.
- Manage the roll out and follow up of regular employee engagement initiatives for own area of the business.
- Support the HR team on projects and initiatives
- Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager
- Use professional insight to identify people related opportunities, priorities and potential risks with managers; provide meaningful people related KPI's (or metrics) to managers.
- Train, coach and guide managers in the development of working practices, working environment and culture which enables and encourages workers to use their discretionary effort and passion to benefit the business.
- Where appropriate, work with HR Manager to support a change ready culture by anticipating barriers and obstacles to change and working to remove them; take the lead in planning and implementing OD interventions and change programmes to assist managers in achieving their business goals.
- Travel between sites will be involved, candidates must have own transport and valid driving license
- HR Degree (Essential)
- BSc Human Resources or Business Administration
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
- Working knowledge of a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of Trade Unions
- Working knowledge of HR policies and processes
- Working knowledge of local content requirements
- Working knowledge of local labour law
- Working and partnering with leadership teams to manage operational requirements
- Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Working knowledge of HR systems
