The development of products as well as machines and systems is the central area of engineering. In your studies in mechanical engineering, you can expect a variety of challenges: project planning, design, construction, calculation, testing, production, customer consultation, or sales - the fields of work and your future career opportunities are diverse.

The DHBW study program focuses on basic engineering knowledge as well as the imparting of business content and personal skills (teamwork, communication behavior, learning methods). A broad and well-founded basic education is essential in order to later be able to familiarize yourself with the diverse and constantly changing specialized areas. The foundations for this are laid in the first two years of training with many basic subjects such as production and materials technology, design, mechanics, mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering, physics, and project management.
