Flight Systems Industrial Products (FSIP) invites you to join our proud team in Carlisle, PA. FSIP manufacturers and remanufactures electronics for numerous electric vehicle and equipment markets.

Our CNC Operator Apprentice position is full-time with Monday through Friday hours (7:00am-3:30pm). This position will support the continued operation of three automated CNC machines to meet production requirements. Our apprentice will make or modify parts by using various manual machining shop equipment.

Responsibilities:


  • Load & unload parts into CNC machine vices with proper orientation.
  • Perform deburring operations on machined extrusion with drill press, wire wheel and hand tools.
  • Provide and approve FAI (First Article Inspection) measurements per item drawing dimensions.
  • Perform CNC machine setups (tooling changeovers) for future production run items.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to follow procedures & drawings
  • Proficiency in operating manual and automated machining equipment
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Must be able to work with hands
  • Must be able to move from machine to machine in quick fashion
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and be able to lift up to 30 pounds, with or without accommodation
  • Posses an aptitude for mechanical and technical processes
