    Description

    Title: Respiratory Therapist Position

    Duration: 13-week Contract

    Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

    Shift: Day - 7 am -7pm / 7 pm -7am

    Job Overview:

    • Executes all respiratory care tasks based on physician's orders and approved protocols.
    • Offers insights to physicians on therapy effectiveness and provides suitable recommendations.
    • Delivers appropriate ventilator support and oversees cardiopulmonary life support equipment.
    • Maintains and utilizes respiratory care equipment efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrates proficiency in various oxygen delivery methods and equipment, administering therapeutic procedures effectively.
    • Carries out therapeutic procedures, understanding their purpose, benefits, and potential effects.
    • Conducts diagnostic procedures as per guidelines.
    • Manages mechanical and non-invasive ventilators, understanding critical care duties and therapy impacts.
    • Independently assesses current therapies using sound judgment, providing recommendations on care plans and patient education.
    • Documents therapy and outcomes as mandated by the hospital and regulatory bodies, sharing information with the healthcare team.
    • Applies and adapts respiratory care techniques in emergencies.
    • Analyzes blood samples proficiently, recognizing values and significance of abnormal results.
    • Works autonomously across patient care areas, aiding colleagues when necessary.
    • Adheres to safety protocols and fulfills all regulatory obligations.
    • Undergoes annual proficiency evaluation in respiratory care equipment and procedures.
    • Demonstrates expertise in electronic medical records and their integration with the Respiratory Care Department.
