Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders.

These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.


The Opportunity


The
Therapy Market Development Specialist, CPT provides technical, clinical, educational and sales support to ensure safe adoption and growth of the Abbott neuromodulation technologies.

Works closely with implanting teams and the Chronic Pain Therapy field organizations to drive therapy education and penetration with new user adoption and existing accounts with the Abbott Portfolio.


What You'll Work On

  • Technical and

Clinical Expertise:

Provide technical support in the use of SCS and DRG medical devices in accordance with the instructions for use/trial protocol, and best practices to facilitate procedural consistency and best clinical outcomes.


  • Educational Support: Provide education and training activities to physicians and patients in partnership with physicians, support staff and Abbott personnel. Stay abreast of and communicate clinical data regarding DRG and SCS products.
  • Clinical Support: Ability to assist with demands of regional clinical case support and coverage.
  • Therapy Education and

Market Development:
educating referring physicians and patients on indications for SCS and DRG stimulation.

  • Therapy expert on Spinal Cord and Dorsal Root Ganglia stimulator technology device implantation, technology, patient indications, patient selection, reimbursement, and programming.
  • Construct segmentation mapping with NeuroSphere Insights
  • Establish call frequency coverage planner.
  • Collaborate with aligned Territory Managers and Clinical Specialists
  • Educate referring physicians on the Current Abbott Therapy Portfolio and clinical data.
  • Organize outreach events: dinner presentations, courses, etc. Educational Meetings on both Therapies and Abbott Products
  • Work directly with patients.
  • Provide product and therapy technical support and service, including consultation at staff inservices and physician hosted seminars.
  • Coordinate/deliver/implement programs and resources at the local level to facilitate market expansion and SCS & DRG therapy access.
  • Provide market intelligence for finetuning of therapy training and expansion plans.
  • Work with Regional Sales Manager counterparts in market planning prioritization and tactic implementation to achieve/exceed regional sales targets and Validate market potential within the territory.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive clinical and technical product knowledge.
  • Understands current published Clinically relevant literature.
  • Recognize and understand competitive products, industry trends, and Chronic Pain Therapies portfolio.
  • Liaison with marketing for technology improvements and next generation needs.
  • Complete administrative reporting as assigned.
  • Exercises judgment in planning and organizing work; monitors performance and reports status.
  • Uses best business practices to ensure success and cost effectiveness in areas of responsibility.
  • Ensures employee compliance with Abbott policies and practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or related experience.
  • Minimum 3 yrs. clinical experience in a sales environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in making multiple referrals calls daily.
  • Ability to execute sales tactics in a complex, multifaceted environment.
  • A comprehensive ability to analyze and evaluate technologically complex medical devices.
