- 8+ years of experience as an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or IT Service Management
- 4+ years of experience guiding clients through the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Authority to Operate (ATO) processes
- Experience in achieving system certification, accreditation, assessment, and authorization, including IATT's and ATO's
- Experience using security applications for enterprise vulnerability scanning
- Knowledge of systems and software engineering management process applied to DoD acquisition processes throughout all life cycle phases
- Knowledge of DoD communication, cybersecurity, and IT systems
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- DoD IAT Level II minimum certification, like Sec+ or CASP+
- Experience with STIGs
- Experience with DevSecOps
- Experience with Cloud technologies
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience with Operating Systems, including Linux, UNIX, Ubuntu, or Red Hat
- Ability to apply Cybersecurity engineering methods to solutions development life cycle activities
- Ability to research emerging technology and apply them to cutting-edge problems
- Excellent presentation and collaboration skills
- Masters in Computer Science or Cybersecurity
- CISSP-ISSEP, CCSP, or CISM Certification
- If listed as remote or hybrid, you'll work periodically from a Booz Allen or client site facility.
- If listed as onsite, you'll work with colleagues and clients in person, as required for the role.

Information Systems Security Engineer
The Opportunity:
Are you seeking a chance to utilize your expertise in system security engineering to support our country and aid our clients with vital missions?
You will ensure requirements are efficiently incorporated into the system through purposeful security architecture, design, development, and configuration. Coordinating changes with the appropriate Information System Security Manager (ISSM), you will enforce all DoD cybersecurity policies and procedures. Your responsibilities will include documenting, monitoring, updating, and managing systems to maintain a secure posture and obtain Interim Authority to Operate (IATO) and Authority to Operate (ATO) across various locations.
Support DoD and military clients in developing innovative cybersecurity solutions, technical implementations, RMF, and policies. Collaborate on solutions to intricate problems involving hybrid systems from a cybersecurity standpoint. Operate independently within established procedures and practices.
With mentoring, engaging hands-on issue resolution, and learning opportunities with new tools and skills, our focus is on team growth to deliver optimal solutions for our customers.
