Description

As a Bachelor of Arts (FH) in Administration Informatics, you will work as the IT liaison for the city of Bochum in various departments.

Your tasks will include both technical and leadership responsibilities, such as planning, managing, and advising on digitalization processes and IT-supported administrative processes.

You will also be responsible for the technical support of hardware and operating systems, including standard software, as well as the installation, testing, personalization, and provision of workstations.

Additionally, you will assist users in identifying and resolving issues and problems with their workstations.

The three-year dual study program combines academic studies and practical training to prepare you for your future role.

The program includes theory phases, where you will attend classes at the University of Police and Public Administration of North Rhine-Westphalia in Cologne or Muenster.

These classes will cover general administrative principles, as well as specialized IT-focused topics, including mathematics, law, and economics.

The final phase of the program will involve completing a bachelor's thesis and a project study in collaboration with other students.

You will also participate in special courses, such as seminars and training for social skills.

The practical training component of the program consists of five internships in selected departments of the city administration, including four IT-specific internships and one administrative internship.

Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive a European-recognized degree with the academic title of Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and the qualification for a career in the higher civil service
