Summary

The Registered Nurse, Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is a registered professional nurse accountable for the management of nursing services throughout the medical center. The PCC advocates for and allocates available resources to promote high quality, cost effective, customer focused, safe and compassionate nursing care S/he provides input into executive-level decisions.

Duties

Duties include but not limited to the following:

Serves as an expert Practitioner who supervises and manages a wide range of responsibilities and accountabilities for the care of all medical center patients and their families.

Accountable for adhering to established policies, standards of care and standards of practice; demonstrating leadership in improving nursing care; and the administration, management, supervision and evaluation of both nursing care and nursing personnel on his/her designated unit and as assigned for the Medical Center on the off tours, weekends, and holidays.

Demonstrates, promotes, creates and ensures a culturally diverse workforce in which the values and needs of all individuals are respected.
