Working at Charité


The Medical Physics department at the Clinic for Radiation Therapy and Radiooncology is looking for a Medical Physics expert or physicist with expertise in teletherapy and brachytherapy to start as soon as possible.


The clinic is equipped with three linear accelerators (IMRT, VMAT, and IGRT capable), respiratory gating and radiooncology information system, multiple treatment planning systems, afterloading system, X-ray deep therapy unit, IntraBeam system, and its own CT with simulation.

Additional treatment techniques include stereotaxy, whole-body and whole-skin irradiation.


Overview of the position

  • Responsibilities include dosimetry, treatment planning in teletherapy and brachytherapy, and quality assurance management for the abovementioned areas
  • Own initiative and ideas are explicitly welcome and can be incorporated into various research and development projects
  • Scientific work with the opportunity for a doctorate (Dr. rer. medic.) in consultation with the clinicaltranslational research groups is explicitly desired
  • Scientific employees are given sufficient time for their own scientific work according to § 110 paragraph 4 sentence 3 BerlHG
