Trandes Corporation is seeking a Site Manager for the Integrated Voice Communications System (IVCS) Life Cycle Support Facility (LCSF) at Naval Base San Diego, CA.

who has background as an Interior Communications Electrician or Electronic Technician who is experienced in the installation, maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the following interior communications systems within US Navy and US Coast Guard ships:


  • IVCS
  • Integrated Voice Communications System to include AN/STC2(V), MarCom, AN/STC3(V) and variants.
  • Ship Service Telephone Systems (SSTS)
  • Integrated Voice Communications Network (IVCN), Integrated Voice Network (IVN), Avaya Definity 75, and Avaya Server based systems.


  • Voice IC

  • Sound Powered and Announcing.
  • Shipboard Wireless Systems to include AN/SRC53(V), AN/SRC55(V), AN/SRC59(V), Personal Communications System (PCS), IVN Wireless, Ad Hoc Mesh Radio, and Land Mobile Radio (LMR) portable, mobile, and fixed station equipment.
  • Shipboard Video Systems to include OE556, AL7204, 6011, KVH, 27TV, and 28TV.


This position supports Interior Communications Electricians and Electronic Technicians home-based at the IVCS LCSF (85%) and travel to temporary work sites or ports (15%) for shipboard work in the continental U.S.

or foreign countries.


Experience Required:


  • Five (5) years of recent, relevant management experience in which two (2) years shall be management of shipboard electronic maintenance.
  • Three (3) years recent, relevant experience associated with installation, maintenance, and operation of shipboard interior communications systems.
  • Experience with the ability to prioritize resources to meet daily utilization schedule; communicate effectively; and ability to train and develop subordinate personnel and perform administration duties.
  • Experience with specifications and standards governing the conduct of preventive and corrective maintenance of shipboard interior communications systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with inservice engineering activity program managers, shipboard technicians, and operational personnel as well as company engineers, technicians, and logisticians.
  • Excellent writing ability to properly convey work accomplished and associated technical data in written reports.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Directing IVCS LCSF operations on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that work is done safely, on time and within budget and to the right quality standards.
  • Monitoring work progress, oversee delivery of materials and carry out safety checks and resolving any problems which could delay work as they arise.
  • Ensuring subordinate Interior Communications Electrician and Electronic Technician personnel meet contract requirements, ensuring readiness of the interior communications systems.
  • Ensuring work complies with organizational regulations, health, and safety standards as well as other legal requirements.
  • Ensuring inventory is maintained and replacement parts are ordered in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) submissions are accurate and timely.
  • Keeping the Government client updated regularly on work progress. Soliciting feedback from the Government client on interior communications systems quality and support staff capability. Acting as the first point of contact for members of the Government, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Conducting technical support for system assessment, troubleshooting (remote and onsite), repairs, distance support (remote technical guidance and troubleshooting), Help Desk support, and groom.
  • Providing hardware and software upgrade of equipment and systems, including site assessments and surveys, review of technical documents, drawings, specifications, etc.
  • Developing installation plan, with drawings, removal of existing hardware, preparation of location to receive new equipment, physical handling and mounting of system hardware, set up and termination of associated wiring.
  • Developing and revising training curriculum. Conducting Onthe
