- Develops the work with focus on user and business requirements, compliance, quality, and cost. Combines existing and/or purchased elements and parts into medical ultrasound transducers and manufacturing processes.
- Tests, analyses, and verifies the quality of the design.
- Works collaboratively with R&D, Product Industrialization, and operations to develop new manufacturing process and improve current manufacturing processes.
- Is responsible for delivering input in the planning process to the project manager. Draws up personal schedules and reports on progress in a structured and methodical way.
- S. in Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical Engineering or related field
- - 5 years of relevant experience in professional engineering.
- Knowledge of the design of mechanical constructions in plastic and/or metal and you are familiar with the mass manufacturability aspects (mold / assembly tooling design); ability to document requirements, tests, and designs.
- Ability to rapidly develop engineering concepts and drive them to functional prototypes.
- SolidWorks and experience in tolerance analysis required.
- Experience in CNC machining or CNC machined part design
- Experience with injection molding or injection molded part design
- Evidence of mechanical aptitude -? can they use a wrench; do they work on their own car/tractor/bike?
- Experience in documenting test plans/reports, technical reviews, etc.
- Experience in hands-on failure analysis, relating to design or manufacturing process.
