Description

Dog House Pub is looking for a part time bartender.

Duties & Responsibilities

Welcome customers, listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking and preparing drink and food orders
Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
Mix traditional and creative cocktails, nonalcoholic drinks, and serve craft beers

- prepare food while adhering to all health and safety standards
- open and maintain tabs throughout shift

Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
Build a rapport with customers to create a regular clientele and a positive neighborhood atmosphere

Skills & Qualifications
- meets Wisconsin minimum age to serve alcohol (must be at least 18 years old)
- must hold city of Sheboygan Bartending License or obtain one before starting work
- knowledge of traditional and creative cocktails and craft beers or an eagerness to learn
- customer service skills with social perceptiveness
- accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments

Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.

- ability to make guests feel comfortable and desire to return
- availability to work a variety of shifts. We are looking for someone who can fill in for mostly opening and closing shifts throughout the week and the weekend.
