König Ludwig Schloßbrauerei Kaltenberg continues the 800-year-old brewing tradition of the House of Wittelsbach and has written a unique success story. This is largely due to the initiatives of His Royal Highness Prince Luitpold of Bavaria, who developed the small brewery in Kaltenberg Castle, located near Munich, into a modern brewing company. The various beer types, from König Ludwig Dunkel to König Ludwig Weissbier, are brewed in the now four breweries in Upper Bavaria, and have quickly gained a large fan base and continue to increase in popularity. Not to be forgotten are the König Ludwig Hell, Oberbräu Hell, and the beer specialties that have become well-known under the name "Kaltenberg" beyond Germany. From the beginning, the brewery has stood for the highest quality and is always committed to the best.
