The Chamber of Agriculture is a public corporation that sees itself as an independent service provider for agriculture, forestry, horticulture, fisheries, and rural areas in Schleswig-Holstein.

In Schleswig-Holstein, approximately 700 hectares are used for growing core and stone fruits, and an additional 900 hectares for berry fruits, with a focus on strawberries.

Efforts are made to prevent and control a variety of potential pests through targeted measures.

This is done in accordance with legal norms (such as the Plant Protection Act) and taking into account weather and vegetation conditions.
