The Vice President of Revenue Cycle is responsible for overseeing the revenue cycle management for multiple organizations within a consolidated entity.
This role focuses on the strategic integration of revenue cycle operations, optimizing revenue generation, and ensuring compliance across all entities.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Enterprise-Level Strategy:
Develop and implement a unified revenue cycle strategy for the consolidated organizations.
Align revenue cycle goals with the broader financial and operational objectives of the consolidated entity.
Integration and Standardization:
Lead efforts to integrate revenue cycle processes and systems across multiple organizations.
Standardize billing, coding, and reimbursement practices to achieve efficiency and consistency.
Performance Monitoring:
Establish key performance indicators (KPI's) for measuring revenue cycle performance across entities.
Monitor and analyze performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Compliance Oversight:
Ensure that revenue cycle practices across all organizations adhere to regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
Oversee compliance audits and corrective actions as needed.
Resource Allocation:
Allocate resources including staffing and technology, to support revenue cycle operations for all consolidated entities.
Optimize resource utilization to enhance revenue and reduce costs.
Vendor Management (if applicable):
Manage relationships with third-party vendors providing revenue cycle services to the consolidated entities.
Ensure vendor performance aligns with the enterprise's expectations.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Collaborate with senior leadership, including CFOs and CEOs of individual entities, to coordinate revenue cycle efforts and share insights.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or other related field.
Master's degree preferred.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Management (CPHM) or equivalent certification is a plus.
Minimum of 10 plus years of progressive experience in revenue cycle management, with a track record of success in overseeing integrated revenue cycle operations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
Proficiency in healthcare revenue cycle software and data analytics tools.
