Dynamic, fast-paced B2B e-commerce company in the facilities supplies business based in the greater Philadelphia area is looking for a competent, experienced controller to join our team in the role of part-time controller.
With its NetSuite ERP system controlling the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for accurate accounting of financials results, the part-time controller will coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements each month.
In addition, the part-time controller will manage the budget process and provide management with financial reports compared to budget and prior period results.
Finally, the part-time controller will coordinate activities with the external auditors to produce timely reviews.Responsibilities:
- Close the books on the company's NetSuite system: prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts and statements in order to understand the financial state of the business at all times
- Provide financial updates to senior management by reporting, evaluating, analyzing results.
- Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems ensuring compliance with all GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
- Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt and proper recording of revenue and cost vs. budgets and prior period results
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices and procedures while upholding federal, state, and local standards and remaining knowledgeable about ever changing legislation.
- Coordinate activities with employees who work in the accounting department to ensure timely and accurate recording of revenue, expenses and asset additions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, accounting or related field
- Experience with at least one or more of the following modern accounting systems:
- QuickBooks
- NetSuite
- Dynamics
- 10+ years of proven accounting/management experience
- Professional accounting certification a plus
- Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting
