    Medical Assistant/Front Office Support

    Our office is in need of an experienced bilingual medical assistant with excellent patient care skills for a fast-paced clinical environment. We are looking for someone who is flexible, a quick learner, and a self-starter. Our practice is a single provider internal medicine office. Job duties include the following:

    Requirements:

    Minimum: High school graduate with 2 year of medical office experience utilizing EMR/practice management systems. Phlebotomy experience required. Must have the ability to multitask, take initiative, and work in a fast-paced medical environment.

    Preference: Certified Medical Assistant; At least 1 year of specialty practice experience; Spanish fluency required.

    Criminal background and drug screening required as well as excellent professional references.

    • Performs routine administrative and clinical duties to assist the Provider in the examination and treatment of patients
    • Update and maintain all digital client records
    • Record patient information and changes in medical history prior to each appointment
    • Collaborate with integrated clinical team to ensure patients' medical needs are met in an efficient and timely manner
    • Perform other administrative or clinical duties as assigned
    • Greet patients as they check in
    • Schedule patient appointments accordingly
    • Call and Confirm patients
    • Verify patient insurance prior to appointment
    • Collect all copays, deductibles and coins at time of service
    • Each patient who checks in ask them to verify their dob, address, phone number and insurance.
    • Answer all phone calls and only address calls that pertain to you. Transfer all other calls to the appropriate extensions.
    • Messages checked throughout the day and at the end of the day and distributed to the correct extensions.
    • All Faxes distributed to the correct folders by the end of the day.
    • Other duties as assigned
