Crowder Bros. Ace Hardware today represents more than 68 years of fine service. The first Crowder Bros. Hardware store was founded in Sarasota, Florida in 1955, opened by John and Chester Crowder. Crowder Bros. Hardware of Lakeland opened in March of 1973. The store was a joint partnership of John K. Crowder and Carroll C. Bud Phillips, Phillips being the active managing partner. Crowder Bros. Ace Hardware of North Lakeland was opened in November of 1996 by Bruce D. Phillips. Your Role:

Greet and serve customers in the paint department. Offer advice or information.
Guide customers through paint related projects.
Receive, store and distribute paint and related products.
Develop an in-depth knowledge of products - including uses, warranties, and other related information.
Actively promote increased sales by suggesting additional products when assisting customers with projects
Dispense and mix paint to a specific color chip or to match a customers item


About You:

Knowledge of commercial and/or residential paint (mixing, color matching, etc)
Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members
Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service
Ability to visually distinguish, coordinate and eye color match
Ability to lift, load, and stock up to 5-gallon containers of product to a height of 4 feet throughout the day
Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate, but not constant, physical effort - typically involving some
combination of climbing and balancing, stopping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
Ability to frequently lift heavy items up to 40 pounds unassisted (above 40 pounds using team lift or
equipment)


Other Essential Requirements:

Assist in the training and development of peers.
Responsive of safety issues.
Conscious of shoplifting activity.
Encourage customers to become Ace Rewards members.

Education/Training
High School or GED equivalent.

Experience
Formal retail experience preferred.
