Funky Buddha Brewery, located in Oakland Park, Florida, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join its growing team. Established in 2010 at its Boca Raton brewpub, Funky Buddha is known for pushing the boundaries of traditional brewing methods with culinary-inspired recipes utilizing all-natural, food-centric ingredients. Some of its best-known beers include flagships Hop Gun IPA and Floridian Hefeweizen. This fast-growing company is the first production brewery in the greater Fort Lauderdale area and the largest brewery in South Florida and is positioned for rapid expansion over the next few years.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Maintenance Technician will be responsible for all facility and equipment upkeep and repair. Candidates should:

Possess great mechanical aptitude and work well hands-on
Have knowledge and 3 years experience with plumbing, HVAC, glycol refrigeration, electrical, draft systems, heavy equipment operation
Be able to use, fluently read and understand the function of measurement devices, including, but not limited to, tape measures, laser distance meters, measuring wheels, calipers (digital and analog), pressure gauges (metric and English), temperature gauges (Fahrenheit and Celsius), multimeters, balances (scales)
Be familiar with basic hand tools and their uses
Possess the ability to read and comprehend basic machine manuals and diagrams.
Be able to learn how to systematically troubleshoot equipment
Be able to follow through maintenance and repair assignments to completion
Be able to clearly report on all tasks using email
Be ready to assist in any operations around the facility as needed, including performing custodial duties and assisting in other departments
Must be available to work on Saturdays every week
Have good organization and communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime and/or nights, weekends and holidays
Live in or be willing to relocate to South Florida
Be a self-starter
Love craft beer
Welding experience a plus

Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
Heavy physical work including climbing stairs and ladders, lifting objects, etc.
Willing to work in wet, hot and cold conditions
Willing to work in consistently loud environments
Ability to work safely with potentially hazardous chemicals
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
