Job Description

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at IDP, Inc. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility, with a primary focus on maintaining machinery, conducting routine oil changes, and addressing various building, flooring, and facility maintenance needs.

Responsibilities:

Perform regular maintenance and oil changes on presses and punches to ensure optimal functionality.
Conduct inspections and troubleshoot machinery issues, collaborating with production staff to identify and address concerns promptly.
Execute preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment, documenting work performed and maintaining accurate records.
Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the shop floor, including routine checks on flooring conditions and addressing any repairs or improvements needed.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime and disruptions to production.
Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services when necessary.
Assist in the implementation of new equipment and machinery, providing input on maintenance requirements.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in maintenance procedures.
Work closely with the Health and Safety team to ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
Keep inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and reorder items as needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in an industrial setting.
Knowledge of machinery maintenance, oil change procedures, and general building maintenance.
Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical stamina and ability to lift/move heavy equipment.
Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols.
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
