    AVL is the world's largest independent company for the development, simulation and testing of powertrain systems (hybrid, combustion engine, transmission, electric drive, batteries, fuel cell and control technology) for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, construction, large engines and their integration into the vehicle.

    AVL Software and Functions GmbH is the center of competence for Powertrain Software- and Function Development, as well as Electronics and Systems integration.

    We are looking for you:

    Development Engineer for the Innovation Center Electric Drives (m/f/d)*


    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Development of new concepts for the area of power electronics
    • Evaluation of new technologies and their application to our portfolio
    • Development of simulation concepts for control functions, power losses and switching behavior
    • Validation of prototypes, hardware and software on test benches, HiLs and on vehicles
    • Cooperation with other departments (software, hardware, etc.) and external interfaces

    YOUR PROFILE:

    • Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering or similar
    • Very good knowledge of Matlab/Simulink
    • Strong understanding of power electronics, vehicle dynamics, e-motor functions and software development
    • Familiarity with EMC effects
    • Good analytical skills
    • Good communication and teamwork skills
    • Good command of English
    • Personality is more than anything
