The Role


Reporting into VP of Engineering, as the Test Technician, you will be involved in test engineering design and technical services for our powerful manufacturing facility.

In addition, you will perform all functions of test consulting, conceptual design, and cost estimation.

Lastly, you will work autonomously and as a member of product teams leading the testing efforts of medium voltage motors and generators.

This is an exciting new role due to significant company growth with opportunities to learn and grow into an engineer.


What will I be delivering?

  • Develop test plans and procedures to support design verification
  • Setup, run, status, and manage testing operations at both company site and offsite test labs
  • Prepare test reports, perform data analysis
  • Provide general technical support for division's test facilities and programs
  • Work on crossfunctional teams to identify and resolve issues
  • Participate as a project team member, help identify test risks and methods early in design phase
  • Understand the customer's requirements for testing the product
  • Interface effectively with internal customers (project team personnel)
  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks with potential solutions
  • Evaluate and analyze test results, help debug and optimize system

What do I need to bring with me?

Demonstrated knowledge and experience

  • Demonstrated experience of being involved in design, testing, or operation of rotating electrical equipment and/or medium voltage drives.
  • Working knowledge of instrumentation related to vibration, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic measurements related to product testing.
  • Strong ability to read and understand drawings and single line diagrams.
  • Experience testing Ethernet, PCIe, USB, DP, DVI, CPLDs/FPGAs,
  • Familiarity working with Linux, Windows, VxWorks

Technical skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
