- Eligible for Delaware Paraprofessional Instructional Permit using one of the three options:
- Experience working with students who receive special education services preferred.
- Prior experience working one or more industry trade career areas preferred.
- Supports the teacher to ensure that the classroom and lab areas are safe environments for students.
- Work with students who receive special education services and is sensitive to the specialized needs of these students.
- Assist teachers in the classroom and lab areas with the delivery of curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
- Assists in a variety of instructional activities with an individual or groups of students as assigned.
- Assist in supervising and monitoring students in the classroom including responding to student behavioral needs in ways which are appropriate and respectful to the student.
- Exhibit excellent organizational skills to support the classroom.
- Ability to build interpersonal relationships with students and promote their performance in class.
- Ability to use technology and integrate technology into daily job duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Determination of Suitability based on Criminal Background Check and Child Protection Registry Check
- Physician's Health Certification
- TB Test (within last five years)
- Verification of Credentials and Past Employment
- Adherence to School District Policies
- Ability to Perform Essential Job Functions
- Agreement to Receive Direct Deposit of Paychecks
