- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of required paraprofessional training or certification as per state and local regulations
- Experience working with students in an educational setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Provide direct support to students with diverse learning needs under the direction of classroom teachers and special education staff
- Assist students with academic tasks, behavioral interventions, and personal care as needed
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior plans, as directed by supervising educators
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior
