Position summary:

The Logistics & Inventory Manager ('LM') is the person in charge of overseeing the purchasing and distribution of products in our company's supply and distribution chains.

The LM will be responsible for coordinating all inbound and outbound brewery logistics, including but not limited to monitoring & ensuring accurate inventories of materials, supplies and finished products; timely ordering all inbound raw materials, packaging materials and supplies in our brewery supply chain; and, coordinating, confirming, scheduling and shipping of all outbound packaged beer/product orders amongst our facilities, distributors and other customers to ensure expeditious shipments of finished beer and other products.

Persons in this role will process, monitor, coordinate, confirm and logístically streamline customer sales orders & shipments with any applicable sales, production and corporate staff and distributors to ensure prompt and timely shipments of orders; secure competitive and weather-appropriate freight arrangements to ensure prompt, secure and timely shipments and removals of finished beer and other products; generate BOL's, export documents and other shipping paperwork (including batch tracking); track shipments; and, post invoices upon shipment.

The LM will utilize a high level of efficiency to ensure timely receipt of materials & supplies at the brewery and delivery of beer to each destination with the goal to achieve, maintain and exceed company sale goals from a logistics standpoint.

This position will also assist with production planning & coordination with the production & sales teams, resourcing and planning materials, creating and approving purchase orders to vendors, and entering & monitoring data in Ekos and other applicable databases associated with different purchase, supply, inventory and sales activities.

Reports directly to the Director of Brewing Operations.


Job Tasks, Responsibilities & Duties

  • The Logistics & Inventory Manager must forecast, plan and manage what, when & how to receive inbound products or to ship outbound products and then manage the best, fastest and most efficient & economical way to inventory and transport those goods.
To do so, involves, but is not limited to the following:


  • Coordinate, monitor, streamline and manage supply and distribution chain operations and all warehousing operations
  • Ensure premises, assets, systems and communications are used effectively
  • Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures
  • Ensure final sales orders meet their planned delivery date
  • Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and packaging materials to ensure they meet sales and production goals
  • Create purchase orders and arrange delivery of packaging and raw materials
  • Communicate with suppliers, wholesalers, customers, etc. to achieve accurate shipping and customer service
  • Plan and track the shipment of final products and materials according to customer and company requirements
  • Set up freight via communication & planning with 3rd party logistics companies and/or wholesalers to optimize shipping routes at the lowest rates available
  • Complete paperwork and data entry as required for each shipment, including BOL's, PRO/tracking numbers, batch number tracking records for each shipment, export documentation (SED forms) and posting of invoices when shipped
  • Ensure all sales orders are picked and shipped securely and safely with 100% accuracy and protection of product integrity and quality
  • Maintain accurate records and keep logs and records of finished goods, packaging materials, executed/shipped orders, and the like
  • Manage and train subordinate warehouse employees with proper procedures
  • Coordinate with sales, packaging and brewery production managers on dayto
- day operations

  • Monitor, document, manage and prepare inventories of all products and materials for end of month and/or end of period as required and enter & manage said inventories in Ekos
  • Receive raw materials by inspecting and checking in all product with accuracy
  • Receive and post all purchase orders and inventory receipts in Ekos
  • Rotate finished goods on first infirst out basis
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized warehouse and work environment
  • Operate heavy machinery following safety guidelines and train subordinates for the same
  • Coordinate with beer hall and pub managers to solicit, fulfill and deliver their orders and inventory needs on a timely and accurate basis
  • Support the brewery sales function by monitoring and managing the logistics of all aspects of the ordering and shipping processes, including, but not limited to, sending sales forecasts (through the Craft Portal), processing sales orders, securing order & shipping confirmations, coordinating production & packaging, managing warehouse inventories for raw & packaging material availability, monitoring code dates and product availability for orders, and managing shipping, tracking and billing
