    Description
    Syneren is currently seeking a

    Software Test Engineer .
    This

    Software Test Engineer

    role is accountable for conducting functional, integrated testing across software product ecosystem. They will test routinely the programs and integrations developed to ensure the software performs as expected for business outcomes.

    He/she will serve the organization as a subject matter expert on our business analysis team, and act as a point of contact for related questions and escalated items.

    When all these tasks are performed well, it provides assurance over the quality and successful rollout of new applications and features, fixes to our existing software solutions.



    Qualifications:
    Design, create, plan, and execute test cases, test regression plans, and conduct sanity testing
    Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines
    Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of software economically and efficiently

    Reviews new or modified program, including documentation, diagram, and flow chart, to determine if program will perform according to user request and conform to guidelines.

    Recommends program improvements or corrections to programmers.
    Development and implementation of test plans specific for software and integrations.
    Identifies differences between establishment standards and user applications and suggests modifications to conform to standards.
    Sets up tests at request of user to locate and correct program operating error following installation of program.
    Monitors application performance after implementation to prevent re-occurrence of operating problems and ensure efficiency of operational functionality.
    Writes documentation to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction.
    Collaborate with development functional groups on technology changes.
    Performance of tests on the functionality of the software.
    Reporting of defects and problems that occurred during the test process.
    Performance of test duties for regression
    Use of commercial query tools to verify test data
    Desirable

    Qualifications:
    Experience in different Testing methodologies such as: Functional testing, Regression testing, Integration testing, Exploratory Testing, System Testing, Security Testing, User Acceptance testing (UAT), 508 testing, and Compatibility and Load testing
    Advanced PC skills, as well as being proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
    Working knowledge of query tools (Query 400, SQL), iSeries, green screen
    Strong problem solving and troubleshooting practices
    Strong analytical and communication skills
    Ability to recognize a problem or potential problem and react quickly and effectively.
    Ability to multitask, collaborate and work well within a team environment as well as work independently
