Responsibilities:

1.

Supporting faculty in Accounting, Economics and Marketing to include copying handouts and syllabuses, coordinating luncheons, reserving rooms, and processing expense reimbursements for 35+ faculty including procurement card processing.

Work with faculty to plan large speaking events, including processing reimbursements, speaker payments, contracts, and other payments.


  • Work with Department Chairs and supervisor to analyze, track and maintain budgets.
  • In collaboration with the Department Chairs and other leaders, build classes for fall, spring, and summer terms in Peoplesoft (CLSS) software program. Work closely with the Office of the Registrar to ensure accuracy in the class schedules, and meet all deadlines put forth by the Office of the Registrar.
  • Assist supervisor with processing miscellaneous salary payments, part-time faculty reactivations and assignment continuations, graduate student new hires and reactivations, and full-time faculty continuations into the online system.
  • Order office supplies and prepare purchase orders through the COUPA purchasing system. Stock supply orders in the Department and faculty office suites.
  • Assist the Department Chairs by collecting confidential pieces of information and preparing packets for the annual promotion and tenure process in order to meet deadlines put forth by the Provost's Office.
  • Process wire transfers for the College as directed by supervisor.
  • Schedule faculty to meet with prospective students as directed by the Office of Admissions.
  • Hire student workers through the Office of Student Employment system. Supervise and train the student workers and approve timesheets on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

High school diploma or GED

A minimum of 2 years of related experience.

Must possess excellent customer service skills, flexibility, prioritization, and organizational skills.

Ability to organize and maintain manual and electronic filing systems.

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Peoplesoft.

Ability to access created networked files, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience working in a higher education setting preferred.

Supervisory experience preferred.
