- Assisting with recruitment, retention, and follow-up of online survey participants, including use of encrypted messaging software (e.g. WhatsApp).
- Use of REDCAP survey software for quality control and data cleaning.
- Basic quantitative methods for survey analyses.
- Academic writing for preparation of manuscript to submission to peer-reviewed journals
- Help set up and participate in regular meetings with PI and other team members for project and timeline updates
- Pending funding and availability, additional assistance with IRB submission and updates, mixed-methods data collection, analysis, and academic writing on health and gender equity projects.
- Coordinate aspects of data collection and management
- Assist with project-related administrative tasks
- Assist in quantitative data entry, analysis, and presentation in abstracts, posters and manuscripts
- Aid in the preparation of documents for any IRB updates, future submissions
- Assist in analyses of qualitative and quantitative data (coding and analysis)
- Organize group meetings, including setting up conference calls and taking minutes
- Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and close attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
- Ability to work well with collaborators across a range of roles, countries and cultures
- Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Capacity to organize and manipulate large amounts of data
- Interest in research, public health, global health, health policy, economics, and/or medicine
- Excellent English language (spoken and written) skills
- Familiarity with statistical programming software is a plus
- Prior experience with IRB submissions or grant writing is desirable
- Experience working in global health with partners in other countries.

General Summary/Overview Statement:
The Division of Global Health Equity at Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a Research Assistant (RA) to assist with multiple ongoing research projects led by a Principal Investigator in a part-time role.
This position is based in Boston and is for a minimum of 5 hours a week and up to 15 hours per week pending project needs and timeline.
The role starts in June 2024, but there could be flexibility earlier for the right candidate. The time commitment is a minimum of 3 months.Example project tasks include:
S/he will be expected to be detail-oriented and organized, ensure that no tasks fall through the cracks, and anticipate issues to the best of his/her ability.
The Principal Investigator will depend heavily on the RA to ensure that no projects are held up for reasons within our control.
S/he must be able to juggle multiple tasks at once, be able to see tasks to completion, and overcome any administrative delays or barriers.
S/he is expected to be a proactive member of the entire Division of Global Health Equity team and a key problem-solver.
Outstanding writing skills is a plus, and experience with qualitative and/or quantitative analysis is helpful, though not required.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Bachelor's degree is required, master's degree preferred.
This is a perfect job for a person considering a career in the health professions or currently in graduate school.
