The Office Technician (Typing) is responsible for posting patient related daily deposits from receipts, review each patient's account daily to calculate and post $12.50, posts Industrial Therapy (IT) pay within the KEEFE system, maintains accurate files of all deposits, responsible for daily/quarterly/governing body/yearly reports, assists with vending card transactions, vending card replacements, discharge processes, opens and distributes mail and correspondence daily, as well as assist with patient valuable property and patient yearly property audits.

May conduct individual patient interviews upon admission and enter information obtained from Admission forms to various logs, Cost Recovery System (CRS), Keefe System, and Clinical Information System (CIS).

Ability to perform difficult clerical work.

  • Demonstrate excellent writing skills; communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.

Working Conditions

  • Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and was established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.
