About Tuli Eye Care Center:

Tuli Eye Care Center is an Ophthalmology practice in Burbank, California. We are a small but dedicated team, focused on providing high quality, empathetic care to our patients.

Role Responsibilities:

We have a part-time/full time Optician position available in a friendly ophthalmology practice. We are looking for a reliable, intelligent, and caring individual with exceptional sales, optical knowledge, and customer service/communication skills. Duties include working in the front office, (patient scheduling, insurance verification, pretesting, medical billing) and dispensing glasses. There is room for advancement and growth for the right individual.

The day-to-day of this role will include:

Patient scheduling, insurance verification, medical billing
Dispensing glasses
VSP insurance billing and verification
Medical history taking, scribing, preliminary examination and diagnostic testing of patients (training will be provided)
Surgery scheduling, communicating with insurance vendors and referral sources
Oversee the ordering of medical and office supplies
Maintain medical and staff records
Liaise with the doctor to identify potential office dysfunctions
Provide informative material for patients

About you:

We are looking for someone who will be able to communicate well with our patients, and has previous experience in customer service. Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask are key to this role.

Nice to have (but not required): fluency in Spanish

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary: $16.00 to $25.
